The Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department is looking for passionate and dedicated people to come join our ranks.

We respond to many emergency and non-emergency calls, and through these calls and training we become very close, so close we consider our member’s family. Our hope is you also will become one of our family members.

Steps to Becoming an SCVFD Member

  • Fill out the online interest form. A member of our team will contact you to go over filling out the Elko County Fire Protection District Application.
  • Once your application is received it will be reviewed by the chief and if you meet the acceptable qualification he will recommend you for probationary status.
  • This recommendation is presented to the Board of Directors for approval. Once approved you will begin your probationary membership.
  • You will be assigned a mentor by the chief who will work with you to complete your probationary requirements. A check off assignment sheet is provided for you in this packet. You and your mentor will work to meet  your probationary requirements.
  • Your probationary period is a minimum of 6 months, and can be terminated by the chief at any time.
