About Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department

A Look Into The Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department
Share

The primary purpose of the Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department is to preserve life and property from, and during, such emergencies as may occur in the Spring Creek area, and to perform the duties customarily performed by a fire service.

The department provides services to approximately 18,000 residents and covers a response area of over 75 square miles and approximately 150 miles of roads. Department services include fire protection, investigation, emergency services, rescue, education of the public, and limited hazardous materials response. The Spring Creek VFD is a combination Fire Department working with the Elko County Fire Protection District managed by Elko County.

The department maintains and operates multiple pieces of apparatus, housed at two fire stations. Fire Station 28 located in the housing section at 5 Licht Parkway, and Fire Station 29 located in the mobile home section at 909 Spring Valley Parkway.
